The questionnaire is also useful for organizations seeking funding from other government agencies, foundations, or individuals. This questionnaire asks the reader to score the organization on elements necessary to run a high quality program, by selecting the answer that best describes the organization's current status or performance.

The enhanced National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) in Health and Health Care provides a structure designed to improve an organization’s ability to advance health equity, improve quality, and help eliminate health care disparities by providing a blueprint for individuals and health and health care organizations to implement culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
